Fight Hard MMA kicks off the 2013 Mixed Martial Arts season with another stellar card. The company that fills the St. Charles Family Arena four times a year, is back with a main event that could headline any show in the region.
Zach Freeman returns to action after a six-month break to take on arguably his toughest test to date. Freeman will be stepping into the cage against his sometime-training partner and veteran of over 20 pro fights, Robert "The Beast" Washington. Washington defeated Lucas Gwaltney back in November to earn a shot at Freeman for the first-ever Fight Hard lightweight championship. The two will set their friendship aside when they square off in front of the 10,000-plus fans that will pick the house. Washington brings lights out power with him into the cage.
Also returning to action is Jessica Halverson, a tough 145-pound female who spends her days elbow-deep in asphalt with the highway department will be taking on Jill Slatten out of Kansas City. Halverson is looking to bounce back after a tough loss at the hands of Tamika Brents in November.
Chris Parris and Wayne Cole will tangle again. Parris got the better of Cole back in August. Cole a veteran of Bellator, Strikeforce, EliteXC, and the IFL will no doubt have crafted a game plan to counter Parris' power in the rematch.
Owen Evinger will be making his promotional debut with Fight Hard after a recent loss to Joe Warren in the main event of Bellator 80. Evinger lost a close decision in a high profile fight back in November. He looks to get back in the win column when he takes on a always tough Dustin Hill.
