KJ Exclusive - SFL & Rumble Time events update

MMA's new power couple, the Sport Fighting League and Rumble Time Promotions have big plans this summer with four events schedule in May, June, and July.

Jim Jenkins gave us a look at the May 18th card that will take place at Ameristar Casino.

In the main event St. Charles MMA's Josh Sampo will be taking on Will Campuzano. Sampo is fresh off a victory at Fight Me that catapulted him into the Fightmatrix Top 50 for his weight class. Campuzano is currently ranked #21 by Fight Matrix for flyweights and will be the stiffest test yet for Sampo. Campuzano out of Mohler MMA in Dallas,TX has a strong resume of fights both in the UFC and WEC.

In the co-main event, "The Alter Boy" Zach Freeman returns after his quick submission win at Fight Me. He will join teammate Sampo at the top of the card against a yet to be determined opponent.

Also fighting at Ameristar is Destruction MMA's Eric Irvin, Berger MMA's Yohance Flager, and the pro-debut of Chris "Stump" Heatherly.

This card will feature five professional bouts, and six amateur fights including the finals of the Gateway to the Top tournament with Jason Slattery taking on Adam Osmoe.

On June 15th, The Sportfighting League returns to the Heart of St. Charles for their Gateway to the Top Tournament featuring Bantam and Flyweight competitors. The winner of each of the four-man tournaments receive a guaranteed pro contract with SFL & Rumble Time with the finals held at the Ameristar Casino in July.

Speaking of July, two events are planned back-to-back on July 27th and 28th. While the event card is still being completed here are a few of the names that will be returning:
