Rumble Time - September Event Preview

Rumble Time Promotions returns with its second mixed card of the year. The event will feature professional muay thai, boxing, and MMA as well as an under card of amateur K1 action.

Ryan Coyne (21-1, with 9 KOs) will serve as the event's main event and will be taking an as of yet, un-named opponent. Jose Jones and Chris Rapa will also be boxing, but opponents have not been released.

Fans of the Irish Outlaw can rejoice as the hometown slugger returns to Ameristar on September 6th. This will be his first fight since dropping his first professional loss in April to Marcus Oliveira. Coyne's last fight at Ameristar was May of last year, when he defeated Julius Fogle by unanimous decision.

One bout to keep your eye on is an MMA special feature between Andrew Sanchez and Louis DeWerdt. Sanchez has been dubbed as the "next big thing" after starting off his career 3-0 before dropping a decision loss to UFC-vet and Road to Glory tournament winner Dustin Jacobi. Sanchez is fresh from winning the purple belt division of the IBJJF Chicago Open following another gold medal win in the purple belt division back in March at the prestigious Pan Ams.

Two professional muay thai matches will also take place including the "War Chief" Joe Cox taking on Billy Stimmell from Oklahoma and Juana Parra and Jason Slattery set to duel. Cox was successful last June in a pro muay thai bout versus Ray Grindstaff, and looks to be a rising star in the sport.
