Kevin Engel isn't waiting around.
After a near two-year layoff, Engel returned to the cage in September where he earned his first submission victory and moved his record to 4-0.
Shamrock Fighting Championships returns to the River City Casino on December 6 and Engel is stepping back into action and facing his toughest opponent yet.
In the main event of SFC: Unstoppable, Engel will take on heavy handed Jesse Sanders (23-6). The Iowa-based Sanders had one fight in the UFC in 2009 and has built his career fighting in Iowa's Extreme Challenge promotions.
Lucas Lopes will face Keith Smetana in the co-main event. Lopes last saw action in August when he took a short notice fight against Dustin Jacoby for Titan FC. The BJJ blackbelt came up short on the night, but continues to grind out victories in his 15 year fight career.
An intriguing match-up between Ray Grindstaff and Jake Constant highlights the main card. Despite losing his first two, "The Gator" (5-3) has won five out of his last six fights with the only loss coming at the hands of UFC flyweight Alp Ozklic. Constant recently tangled with Javon Wright in Springfield, but lost via first round submission.
Fresh off of her RFA debut, Becky Ruth will face Krystal Manues. Malcolm Smith will take on Joe Perry. Rounding out the main card will be Demagio Smith vs. Cory Barreiro and Dillon Pousson vs. Matt Williams.
