The road back - Benoist returns to the octagon

By Brett Auten | Knuckle Junkies

When Lance Benoist steps back into the UFC octagon on Friday, "The Polish Pistola" Seth Baczynski will be waiting for him.

The 30-year-old Baczynski, who stands 6-4, is 15-6 with three fights in the UFC. He is currently on a four-fight win streak with submission victories over Clay Harvison and Matt Brown and knockout wins over Alex Garcia and Tim McKenzie.

Baczynksi has ten wins by submission, five by TKO and has finished all of his pro wins, including eight first-round finishes. He has been pro since 2006 and was a member of Team Ortiz member on TUF 11 where he was a finalist, losing to Brad Tavares. Born in Hawaii, Baczynski fights out of Power MMA in Arizona, home of UFC veterans Ryan Bader, CB Dollaway and others.

Benoist is coming off a spectacular UFC debut when he garnered Fight of the Night honors for his win over veteran Matt Riddle back in September.

Benoist fights out of St. Charles MMA and Team Vaghi. He is undefeated as a pro at 6-0 and was unbeaten as an amateur. He's looking to overcome adversity and continue his winning ways.
