Weekend Preview: September 29th

An exciting Pro/AM at Lumiere Casino and a stacked amateur event at the Farmington Civic Center highlight your weekend preview.

Shamrock Fighting Championships return to downtown on Saturday at Lumiere Place Casino. Shamrock FC: Legacy boasts a four-fight professional main card with a eight-fight undercard.

Adam Cella will have a tough-test ahead of him in Justin DeMoney. DeMoney is 14-5 and hungry for a win. His win in April over Ryan Sheeper was his first since Oct, 2009.

"They both want to do the same thing; stand and bang," Shamrock FC's Jesse Finney said.

On the main card, Francisco ‘Kiko' France will cross paths with grinder Dan McGlasson. Knuckle Junkies caught up with France on Thursday.

Finney HIT Squad BJJ coach Lucas Lopes (26-14-0) will take on Kansas City's Leo Pla (10-4-0).

"Both are exciting fighters," Finney said. "Lucas has overcame some tough luck. He's had some high-highs and low-lows. If he can get another win he can more on to a big-time organization."

Mike Brazzle is another Finney fighter who is on a hot streak. Brazzle takes on Josh Thorpe.

Brazzle has won three fights in 2012, all with first-round finishes.

"Brazzle's the real deal," Finney said. "He has been on a tear."

Last year, Thorpe went three rounds in a loss to Rob Washington and has lost six of his last seven.
